Section 621, of the National Association of Rocketry (NAR)
Purpose:
The purpose of this Section is to have fun launching rockets and to encourage and teach local youth and their families to join. The Section will conduct activities per the NAR Safety Code.
How to join:
Membership Application - Club Dues are $20/year and are due in June. Paid to Skip Cutting, the Treasurer. Prorated after June. New members will receive a New Member Packet. All members will receive a SEVRA hat.

Launch Equipment:
Low power - Three rod system, 1/8" and 3/16". Two ten pad systems.
High Power - Two rails, one 1/4" rod. Custom built launch stand.
Launch Controller with side A or B capability..
Walston 16 channel receiver and one Club Transmitter. The Club Transmitter will be lent out to anyone who would like to use it for $17 (Money will be placed in the Club Treasury).
Several members also have BeeLine receivers.
Rocket Recovery Team - Recovery equipment - 45' pole with another 20' extension to recovery rockets from trees.



History:
SEVRA was started in the Fall of 2000. Original members - Richard Burke, Don Wittenauer, Scott Brown, Stephen Krall, and Bob Avery.
Before SEVRA there was the Enterprise Section of the NAR (ESNAR) Club, (Section 101?), in Chesapeake, VA. ESNAR Club ended around 1982. They had a newsletter called Tidewater Model Rocketry and was involved with the 4H Club.
