Prefecture 82, of The Tripoli Rocketry Association (TRA)

Purpose:
The purpose of the Tripoli Research Program is to foster the research and development of payloads, electronics, recovery devices, air frame design, construction materials and to provide members of TRA with a venue in which they can static test and use their own composite or hybrid motors.Launches:

Note - Due to insurance and safety reasons, non-Tripoli members
are welcome to stay in the spectators viewing area, but are not allowed
at the launch pads.

Launch Equipment:
High Power - Two rails, one 1/4" rod. Custom built launch stand.
Launch Controller.
Walston 16 channel receiver and one Club Transmitter. The Club Transmitter will be lent out to anyone who would like to use it for $17 (which will be placed in the Club Treasury).
Rocket Recovery Team - Recovery equipment - 45' pole with another 20' extension to recovery rockets from trees.

History:
The founding members were Joe Beaufait, Rich Burck, Claudio Egalon, David Hahn, Stephen Krall, David Muesing, Glen Narden, Ed Rowe, John VanNorman, and Don Wittenauer. The Club was started in the 1994/1995 timeframe.
Club Re-Buildup in Nov., 2009. Members present were Eric Fadely, Skip Cutting, Jeff Goldstein, Joe Vanlandingham, Bill Pleban, Randy Regan, and Brian Heywood. Ed Rowe - Club Advisor.
