Others (non-NAR/TRA): We ask that you only fly motors up through "E" power. We ask that anyone flying higher impulse motors have insurance through a rocketry organization such as NAR or TRA. You get insurance when you join the NAR or TRA

This is the Naval Auxiliary Landing Field in Chesapeake, VA. This is our best local field for flying large rockets. There are several concrete runways so expect and plan for rockets to land on hard surfaces!
Special note: When you arrive at Fentress there is an operations building near the gate. There may or may not be a guard on duty, but be sure to sign in so they can keep tabs on who's using the field.
WHAT TO DO AT THE FIELD...
Prep your rockets. Fill out one Flight Card for each flight. We keep flight cards on hand, but you can save time by printing and filling out yours ahead of time. Present the flight card to the LCO/RSO in charge (whoever is pushing the launch button). Load your rocket on the pad and hook up the igniter clips.
