This is the launch report for
July 6, 2002.

Great day for rockets.  Got hot.  Remember to drink lots of liquid before, during, and after summer launches.  A little bit a wind from time to time.

I want to thank those of you that were there at 11:30 to help with setting up the equipment.  Also thanks go to those who stayed late to help pack the equipment up.  It doesn't take long we everyone pitches in.  Thanks to all.

We had 23 fliers.  They put up 78 flights.

Flier Flights Comments
Alex Balke 4 Alex put up his "School" on an A8-3 and then on a C6-5.

His "Bye Bye #2" flew on an A10-3T.  His "H.U.I.M.C." flew on a D12-5.  On the back of his flight card he noted the initials stood for "Heads Up It Might Crash."

Scott Brown 5 Scott flew his "Star Wars Space Shuttle" on a C6-3.

His "C-YA" flew twice.  It is a cluster of four motors.  Each time he used four C6-5s.

Scott's "Mustang" flew on an F101-10 and "Rudolph" flew on a G80-10.

Pete and Jordan Covell 9 Jordan flew his "Skywinder" on a C6-3.  His "X-Wing" also went up on a C6-3.  The "Tie Fighter" flew on a C6-3.

Pete flew a rocket that is so old he couldn't remember the name of it.  "It" went up on an A10-3.  His "Generic E3X went up on a B4-4.

Pete's "Area 51" flew on a C6-0.  His "Bertha Shuttle" flew on a C6-3.

Pete put up his "Big Bertha" on a C6-5.  He then put up the "Generic E3X" on a C6-7.

Pete now has an Aerotech kit that he plans to use for a LEVEL 1 flight.  I would really like to see Pete get into high power and start up-scaling a lot of his Estes Star Wars rockets.  Keep in mind Pete, an "X-Wing Fighter" with the wings in the attack position flying on an "M" motor.

Stephen and Eric Fadely 6 Stephen flew his "Alpha" twice on a B6-4.  His "Flash" also flew on a B6-4.

Eric flew his "Pyramid of Death" on an E9-4.  His "Lost-N-Found" went up on a E9-4.

Then the "Pyramid" went up on an F24-7 in a drag race with Jeff Koffel.

Jeff Koffel 4 Jeff made his final launch with us.  The Marine Corps is transferring him to California.

He flew his "Nike Ajax" on a C6-5.  His "Flying Pyramid of Death" went up on an E15-10.

He then drag-raced his "FPOD" with Eric Fadely with another E15.

Jeff put up his "Red Crayon" on a G80-10.

We will all miss Jeff.

Raeven and Robby May 5 Raeven flew a "Recon" with a C6-5.

Robby flew "No Name" with a D12-5.  Robby's "Viper" flew on an E9-4.

Robby flew "Viper 4" on a cluster of four E9-8s.  Those are really nice motors.  Four of them is great.  He also flew his "Red & Black" on a G64-4.

Zachary McFatridge 2 Zachary flew his "Mach 12" two times.  First on a B4-4 then on a C6-7
Bruce and Parker Sexton 9 Parker flew his "Gnome" on an A3-4T.  His "X-Ray" also flew on an A3-4T.

Jessica, Josh, and Bob Tschirhart 13 Jessica flew the "Solar Warrior" on an A3-4T.  "Blorange" flew on a B6-4.

Jessica flew her 2-stage "IRIS" on a D-12-0 stagging to an A8-3.

Josh put up "Rotoroc" on a B6-2 two times.  Then he did it again with a C6-3.

Josh's "Gemini-Titan" flew on a C6-3.  "Big Bertha" flew on a C6-3.  He put up his "Space Shuttle Columbia" on a C6-5.

Josh brought out his two-stage, up-scaled, "Double Mosquito."  He flew it with a B6-0 staging to a B6-4.

He also flew his 2-stage "Black Brant 12."  The booster had a cluster of two C6s and the sustainer had a B6-4

Deanna flew the "Rockette" on a B4-4.

Sabrina didn't complete her flight card, but she also made a flight.

Ben flew a rocket with no name on a B4-4.  He then flew "Smiler" on a C6-7.

Dirk's "PATR-E-OT" flew on an E8-9.

Joshua flew "Freaky Flyer" on a 1/2A3-4 then on an A10-3.

Paul flew "Rock'n" on a B4-4 two times.

Don Wittenauer 9 Don flew his "Monarch" on an A3-3.  It landed a bit hard and suffered some body tube damage.  His "Mach 12" flew on a B6-6.

He flew just the upper stage of the "Commanche" on a C6-3.

His "Skywinder" flew three times on C6s.  Twice was in drag races.  This is an easy rocket to turn around and fly again.

His "VB Extreme 29" flew on a D12-7.  The "Mean Machine went up on an E9-4.

Don put up his "Remember the Alamo" on an I218R.  Those Aerotech Redline motors have a really nice red flame.  The parachute did not fully deploy.  Had a broken fin and a damage altimeter.

You have to be a member of NAR to join SEVRA.  You cannot fly high power (H motors and above) unless you join NAR.
