Message from NAR President, Captain Trip Barber -

Thanks for the opportunity to attend your Rocket-Ree event yesterday, and thanks to all of the members of SEVRA for their commitment to outreach and "paying forward" to get young people interested in rocketry and the NAR.  And it was great to get to meet all the members of SEVRA and see what your section is all about.

You all did a fine job inventing, organizing, and executing the Rocket-Ree event. I thought it went off without a hitch, despite the challenges of on-the-field building in the cold wind and the large numbers of inexperienced builders and fliers.  It seemed like the young Scouts (and most importantly, their parents) had a great experience with rocketry and with SEVRA as a result of your planning and work.  This is just the kind of activity that we need each section in the NAR to do at least once or twice per year in order to keep our hobby and our NAR alive for the long term and to build enthusiasm in America's young people to become the next generation of aerospace professionals.

Well done to all of you!
