SMach Buster 38MM Project - Randy Regan: [Lost at Red Glare VIII]
Project - Build a rocket that can go faster than Mach 1. This rocket is a modified version of the Hawk Mountain Transonic kit. Rocket name - "Mach Buster 38MM"
Modification - Motor retention. Fin can installation
Modification - "Hard Mount Attachment" goes inside of the body tube. Eye bolt was epoxied in place.
Modification - Altimeter bay for an apogee deployment. Stainless steel parts - eye bolt, nuts, and screws.
Added feedthroughs - outside view. Feedthroughs were made by cutting the heads of stainless steel screws.

Epoxied in the bulkhead ring to the nosecone. Nosecone and altimeter bay together.
38MM to 29MM adapter.
First flight, motor ejection deployment. Second flight. Parachute deployment problem.
5th flight, after rebuilding. Good flight.
Rebuilt payload bay again.
